Hey all,

I'm looking for any advice or suggestions.

I was able to catch a stray dog (1 year old brown lab) a couple of days ago. He was likely hit by a car and has a leg sprain and cuts. He is also kind of skinny, but not too bad.

I knew the odds were against him in the shelter with an injury, so I decided to take him under my wing and set him up comfortable in my garage.

I took him to an animal hospital for care and meds and he is healing up nicely.

The next step is to find him a permanent home or foster home.
Any advice on where to go at this point? I'm new at this :-)

Thank you!!
MandK

I would suggest trying a lab rescue group. I know nothing about these, but I found them with a Google search.

Lab Rescue of Southern California

SCLRR

My German Shepherd was found somewhere in the IE after a man called a GS rescue group and said he was moving away, and that she could be found in the backyard.

I'm glad he didn't just leave her there! At any rate, the rescue organization was really great, and so is my dog.

PS

Thanks for helping the furry one.
