I moved to the IE like many LA, OC, and SD transplants---cheaper housing, better quality of life, lower crime, and less crowded. But the IE now has over 4,000,000 people....WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

It depends where in the IE. Some areas are very good and some are not. It all depends on what you are looking for. We moved to Murrieta 9 years ago and we love it here. We moved from San Diego. We also lived in the San Francisco Bay area, Florida, Arizona, Oregon, Mexico, Canada, and Venezuela. We moved here by choice as we could live pretty well anywhere we want to. It is all a matter of preferences. This area is very clean, low crime rate, and good weather. The rest of what determines a good place is pretty subjective and everybody has a different opinion.
