In my opinion, Redlands would probably be your best choice. There are really nice neighborhoods throughout the city and the downtown area is a great place to walk around. Redlands is also very affordable - which is always a plus.

You may want to rent for a while before deciding on where to purchase. This way you can check out the different neighborhoods, decide on how far you really want to commute, and really get a feel for the area. Moving to a brand new area is always scary. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to send me a message.

Good Luck!

I was offered the job!!! Okay, from all of the responses I have to choose from Loma Linda, Redlands, Lake Arrowhead. Hmmm... Any thoughts. The college is located at 295 E. Caroline Street in SB.

I personally would remove Lake Arrowhead (long, unnecessary commute, occasional snow-ins) from the list and add Colton, Grand Terrace, and San Bernardino.

You probably are the only one who would have.

Those are good too I suppose.

Depends on one's definition of "good". My kids are grown so schools aren't important and I tend to chafe beneath the jackbooted foot of an HOA, so I'm willing to settle for what comes with 2 acres and an old farmhouse in el varrio.
