So relocating to Palm Springs area but deciding to settle there or commute? What is the commute from Temecula to Rancho Mirage like? any insights? Does temecula get the soraing heat in the summer also or is it cooler than the desert?

Its a long 80 miles, 1 Hr & 15 Min without traffic via I-215 & CA-60. The good news is that they finally added a new lane in each direction on I-215 between Murrieta & Perris.

Palm Springs is definitely hotter in the summer, especially since its the western end of the Sonoran Desert.

Temecula can get hot for a few days at a time, but not nearly as hot for as long as Palm Springs...the latter is absolutely scalding, month after month, as it is true desert.
