What Riverside, CA neighborhoods offer a safe, close to campus, $500/month apt for a soon-to-be UCR grad student?

Thank you very much.
"Ads by Google" suggests Arlington Apts, LUX West Campus, and Riverside Apts USC. Do you have any comments on these?
And, is it possible to find a safe apt close to campus for under $465? I will be on a budget.

No comments on those.

Paying <465 is getting you into "renting a room" territory around here.

Actually I think even the link above is a roommate deal. They rent "by the bed" meaning you have an assigned roommate, but if the roommate moves out you are only responsible for just your portion of the rent.

Kind of like a private dorm, in an apartment setting.

Yeah, I guess the clue words are "student housing."

How about apartments in Riverside that are not "student housing"? Are there homeowners with apts to rent for one grad student? Or, regular apt bldgs (not for students) in safe neighborhoods for a single grad student? If so, what would rent be per month, and what neighborhoods / apt bldgs can you recommend?

As you've probably noticed, you're going to have to raise your housing budget.
