Looking for people or families who have relocated from Highland Park (90042) in east Los Angeles to the Inland Empire in the last 0-8 years and the reasons why. Were you priced out? Were you looking for a different kind of neighborhood? Seeking stories about housing/rent prices and affordability comparing these two communities.

Actually, Highland Park is NORTHeast L.A. And the population/area difference between the two places is gargantuan. Highland Park is tiny compared to the combined communities of the IE.

Perhaps it would be better to say "LA" generally to get more of a response.

3.5 square miles versus 4,800 sq miles. Why is Highland Park so talked about? I was driving around last week and found a 2 bedroom apartment for $1100 a month 3 blocks from the gold line in Highland Park. 3 years ago prices for a 2 bedroom condo was about $170,000, 1 bedrooms were about $130k and homes we under $200k. Who got priced out of a $130k places?
