Can anyone tell me what it costs to rent a one or two bedroom house or deplex in Big Bear or any of the surrounding communities? I don't mind living in a run down town. Low cost rent and being near nature is the important thing to me right now.
Also, what about rattlesnakes? I'm not fond of them.

expect 400.00 to 700.00 depends, depends. Sugarloaf would be the least expensive. In 35 years have not run into a rattler, maybe a possibility if you spend a lot of time in the backcountry.

There are rattlers out in the back country but it's very rare you actually will see them--at least that has been my experience. I've seen one in the 20+ years there. It got away from us a fast as it possibly could. I've seen more living in the cyn. in Los Angeles county.
