So far, the only ghost towns (all in San Bernardino County) with any sort of population I can find are Cima, Essex, Goffs, Hodge, Amboy, Ludlow, and Klinefelter. No populated ghost towns in Riverside County that I can find; Midland, Cox, and Hayfield are all pretty much dead.

So, are there any other ghost towns out there that are STILL populated aside from the ones I mentioned?

Any answers are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

If they were populated, by definition, they would not be ghost towns. Right?

Not in San Bernadino buuuuut....

Flat, Alaska, had a few holdouts. When we last visited for inspections there was one old guy there and seven or eight people who flew in for the summer for hunting and fishing.

But yeah, shops with glass still in all the window panes from the 20's. Almost flawless model T in a garage. Dozens of habitable houses from the 50's and 60's with curtains still in the windows but abandoned where they stood. Boom and bust.

I was there in 2006, so those census figures look about right. Old guy must have died, I can't remember his name. We saw a few people inside one of the homes so maybe that was the family. They just looked out through curtains and creeped me out big time so I didn't stare long

As of the 1990s, Calico had 12 residents.

I also read that Essex, Cima, Ludlow, and Amboy still have (or had) people.

I saw the original at the drive in when it first came out and actually rolled up my window.
