... and that's a load of crap...
I don't live in Austin but Dallas and it's pretty overcrowded here too, but Dallas has not kept up with it's freeway system the way So Cal has and it's beginning to look a lot like Cali's traffic.

You don't see any Californian riding a bide unless they do not own a car...besides my husband has to go to client sites on occasion, so telling a client that he'll be there as fast as his bike will take him would be quite ridiculous.....

So Cal keeping up with it's freeway system???? You obviously have not lived in So Cal and if you had, it's been quite awhile....there is traffic at ALL times of the day and night....I have never been anywhere except So Cal where you can be out driving about at midnight and are just sitting in stopped traffic. Worst place I have ever been in regards to driving - and I have been to Dallas many times in my life as well....it can get bad, but nothing like So Cal. I have even heard complaints about Austin (from locals), but I have yet to experience anything like OC/Riverside/LA.....it's all perspective.

I've lived in Austin since 1982 and I can't wait to get out.

Some people do and that's why they have Annual Passes.
