Can you post your experience with either of these Internet services in Riverside?

A friend of mine had a bad experience with Charter Cable in the Canyon Crest area (92507) -- availability was inconsistent. She switched to U-verse and has been happy. Everyone I know in either the 92507 or 92506 has U-Verse Internet and have been happy.

Anyone have a good experience with Charter Internet in the 92507 area? I'm wondering if it was a fluke or if it really is that bad...

You don't have to be in the 92507 area to post. I'm interested in Charter's performance around the city of Riverside as well.

I am in 92506 and Have had Charter for 7 years. It never has worked properly. Download speed <13 but paying for 30.
TV goes out frequently. Tech has been out several times. They agree there is an issue, but don't offer a fix just occasional discounts. Having Uverse installed next Saturday.

I'm in 92507, recently moved here (approximately 6 months ago) and have had Charter since I made the move. I have had consistently good service and quality of television. My internet is blazingly fast, hitting upwards of 30mbps consistently.

I have a good friend down the street who has AT&T U-Verse. I've measured her internet as well and her speeds were well under 10mbps. U-Verse has been recruiting heavily in the area but with the consistency and speed I've had from Charter, I can't bring myself to switch.

When I lived in Southern California, I was in an AT&T and Charter area (La Crescenta & Pasadena). I had both.

With AT&T, I had their U Verse service (3 mbps speeds) and always got consistent speeds, but AT&T had outages at night.

With Charter, it was much faster (5 mbps up and 15-25 mbps downstream) and more reliable.

I vote Charter on this one.

I am in 92503 and have AT&T and it has been pretty bad since I bought my house in March. Have had 9 techs to my house already and it still goes out and most recently all of my recorded shows were lost. UGH!

I am in 92506 and have had charter for a very long time. There internet is fast and I consistently get 30 mbs and very rarely is it down. I am pleased with charter internet. I don't subscribe to any tv service.

Uverse internet is good. Their TV service sucks. From what I've heard about Charter, its overpriced but the service is good.

Oh my, we have 50 meg service with Comcast cable in sw fla and are looking at real estate in riverside, Temecula, maybe even palm springs. Are we in for a shock when it comes to internet?

We would have thought the net would have been better not slower than where we are. Oh my

No Comcast anywhere?
