I've always been intrigued with living in the Carbon Canyon area of Chino Hills. Not so much the
threat of fires and road delays, though. I would be working in the Anaheim area about 2 blocks from
Angel Stadium. Would it be a pain in the ass to drive from the Chino Hills side of Carbon Canyon
to the Orange Crush area? We're also looking at the Butterfield Ranch area of Chino Hills, parts of Brea,
and some parts of Yorba Linda. I like the secluded feel of Carbon Canyon more and more. Work hours
are non-conventional (2:30pm to 11pm, and occasional 10:30a - 7pm shifts).

If Carbon Canyon Rd was backed up it would add probably 15-20min to your commute if you went into Chino Hills and got on the freeway depending on where you live on Carbon Canyon Rd. It's a nice area if you like to be in a secluded/quiet area. You would have to drive 15-20 minutes just to go shopping though.

A favorite detour for commuters during rush hour (dunno why as it's always jammed). But also a twisting and snaking two lane road (one in either direction) that's not always well lit in the more remote parts. What could possibly go wrong?

One larger accident can cause a one way (or two) complete closure of the road.

When getting into the IE from the OC, I know it's a bad commute day when Waze's recommended route is Carbon Canyon. Out of all the freeways into the IE, a two lane road is recommended.
