Lived in the area for years and haven't even thought of gangs. Maybe some areas of south Fontana and Ontario, but not a problem in most areas of the 2 cities. Think most gangs have moved up to the Victorville area.

From crime statistics it doesn't seem like both cities have much in the way of crime. Not on the level of Berdoo or Perris, or even on the level of Rialto. Although I'd like someone who knows the area better to confirm whether this is the case.

I dont know about Ontario, but Fontana is fine. Not the place it was 15, 20 years ago. Fontana is a donut, avoid the donut hole! It's that simple.

No, it's the middle. South Fontana is Southridge, there are some apartments by Cherry/Live Oak that have trashy people but most of the area from Cherry to Sierra is absolutely fine. I live here. I know.

North Fontana, north of Foothill or Merrill, whatever you want to call it, is all brand new. Especially Sierra Lakes up by Costco and Target. It's not as classy as Rancho, but it's not trashy.

Most of the gang crimes doesn't affect outsiders. It's usually between them if any. It's not like you are going to get caught in a drive-by shooting. Most of the crime is probably just drug activity. And even drug activity occurs in the nicer nearby places like Upland and Alta Loma.

I've lived in Upland, Alta Loma, and now On the north side of Ontario. I have to say that I've had the least amount of problems in Ontario. The city has lots of money and has really invested in its police department. I live on the border of Upland and consistently see graffiti and other things like broken sidewalks in Upland while Ontario cleans up thingshe really quick. No doc the areas are ad but I think Ontario has improved the most over they ears.

Yeah drugs are everywhere, I don't even consider that real crime. Every rich kid in L.A. and club in Vegas has drugs. Beer is a drug.

It's a shame, Upland used to be a nice little enclave in the IE. Now it seems south of Foothill, it is going downhill. I get the impression the city only cares about north of Foothill, and whatever they can build up by the 210. The Campus Colonies parking lot is so tiny, it's atrocious. I don't get it.
