Hello All,
We (early 60s) are thinking of purchasing a lot in a 55+ RV resort community. We prefer purchasing the lot rather than renting. We're especially looking for a place near Redlands and Yucaipa and are drawn to the Palm Springs area.
Our criteria is pretty basic: safe, friendly, the roomier the lots the better, close to a community with what I would call a city center (think Palms Springs or Redlands downtown areas), greenery--an oasis in the desert feel
. We're not big golfers so an onsite golf course isn't essential.
While the "lake" areas (Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake, for example) are beautiful, in the winter they'll still be winter. We're from South Dakota and would appreciate a little less winter wind and snow.
