Hi I have a few questions if anyone could help that would be great!
Is corona very family orriented? Are there many rec centers with activities for children? Also which elementary schools are the best? How about Hospitals, I will soon be a RN graduate and would like to get in a good hospital. How has your experience been at Corona Regional. Lastly my husband would be commuting to Mission Viejo, how is the traffic? Ok well thanks to anyone who can help!

I've lived in Corona for 5 yrs.
Good news: There are some real nice parts. Horsethief Canyon has it's own highly recommended elementary school.

Bad news : Commute to Mission Viejo (probably about 2 hours)
Traffic up and down 91 is the worst around.

Horsethief Canyon is a neighborhood. The school is called Lusieno.
Regarding fastrack or train:

The fast track doesn't really start unto you're about 8 miles down the 91.
So, depending where you live in Corona...
Horsethief is actually about 10 miles S of the 91 / 15 interchange, but it is near the mntns and there are 3 new shopping centers there.

I don't think a train makes it to Mission Viejo, but I could be wrong.

i lived in norco for a few years.. great place when i was there.. had less of a suburban feel because its a little more ranchy i guess. lived on the santa ana river and took my horses down to the river for some fun quite often

as far as the commute, you're looking at hitting the toll road, but unfortunately, you can't use the fasttrack on the 91 to get there as it goes past the 241 or whatever the tollroad is. that will add at least 45min in traffic to your commute

A friend of mine used to be an EMT and only had terrible things to say about the hospital in Corona. There is a Kaiser Permanente Hospital no too far away in Riverside though. also, i feel sorry for your husband and that commute. however, if you do decide on a place like horse thief canyon or even further south, he may be able to avoid the 241 toll road by taking the 15 south to Ortega Hwy (CA-74). Regardless, he's looking at a 1.5 hour commute each way minimum during rush hour (6-9am & 4-7pm).
