Hi, Everybody. Having a felony assault on my record from August-September of 2015, I had just tried to get it expunged but unfortunately failed since I supposedly took the Plea-Deal. It was an incident involving a road rage case where neither of us was willing to allow the other to merge into the middle lane. I just recently graduated from UC Irvine but thought that since in today's digital age it would be unwise to try to apply to any jobs via the internet is that there are many information brokers out there so I thought of trying to get into the Carpenters Union. Unfortunately, I was met with more obstacles such as needing to get to know someone to simply get access to the apprenticeship itself. So I was wondering if there were any success stories of any college graduates who have criminal records who have actually found gainful employment. I was also hoping to meet some prospective employers who may be looking to hire since posting a resume on Indeed and CareerBuilder has gotten me nowhere. Some help will be greatly appreciated.

It would be helpful to know what degree you received.
