Another question from yours truly:

What are your favorite restaurants in the Coachella Valley? (I know that the area is not known for restaurants.)

Mine, as of now, are:

Indio
In-N-Out Burger
Farmer Boys
Maxcy's Grill
Mario's Italian Restaurant
Papa John's
China Star
CJ's Stir It Up
Arriola's Tortilleria
Burger Box
Goody's Café
The Fresh Grill Buffet

La Quinta
Souplantation
The Habit Burger Grill
Five Guys Burgers And Fries
Soul Of China

Palm Desert
Las Casuelas Café
The Palms Café

So, tell me, what are yours? Be honest.

Any answers are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Bombay Beach is in Imperial County, so I don't think so.

We went to Las Casuelas Nuevas in Rancho Mirage last year on Mother's Day, and they were holding a site-wide buffet (we didn't know about it). So we went, okay, whatever. Only my sis didn't ask how much it was per person (I assumed it was $20).

Well, it turned out to be $40 per person. Outrageous. Their food's alright, but their portions have shrunk. They no doubt made a killing that day.

Sorry, what was this thread about?

PF Chang's is my fav, although the portions have gotten small lately, Waba Grill is good, and In-N-Out is always good.

PF Chang's is too expensive for what they give you. Find a great family-owned hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant and stick to that. My favorite one (which I patronized exclusively for YEARS) got sold and rebranded, and was never the same. Never knew where they went.
