I am moving to LA in a few months and will be working in Duarte. I will be living with my girlfriend who goes to Chapman in Anaheim. What are some safe areas we could live in to help minimize our commutes? We have been looking at the Diamond Bar area because of its proximity to both towns but since we are not from the area are not sure how heavy traffic will be either way. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try the Los Angeles or Orange County forums. Inland Empire is Riverside and San Bernardino.

Hi I think the best place is walnut or diamond bar. But any cost you both will face traffic. In morning 57 S heavy traffic but 57 norths is free until210 W from 210W to Duarte will take at least 20 to 30 min. Monrovia and Duarte are best place to live there are nice restaurants , Santa Anita mall , you can do hiking and apart from that on every Friday there is farmers market in Monrovia.

I commute every day from Monrovia (which is 1 mile from Duarte) to Santa Ana. It takes 1 h to 1.5 h to reach Santa Ana in morning (evening also same)
Fro more information check traffic on sigalert.
