We looked into Alberhill but decided on Sycamore Creek in South Corona for about 100K more. I was worried about all of the things that Alberhill Ranch Resident mention in their post. We are pretty happy here even though we paid more.

OCTeach, I came >< this close to buying in Sycamore Creek until I noticed in the past 6 months, the only murder homicide was in that community! crimereports.com for reference. I had to withdraw my offer after seeing that. Any idea what that homicide was about? It was off Coral Canyon rode I believe.

Don't move to Lake Elsinore it's worse in crime than Corona. There is a wonderful new development at the top of Sycamore Creek the homes are bing built by Richmond Pacific and it is a gated community (gated is safe and gated is good). When you enter the development there are some homes already built and occupied and in front of these homes they sold for $750,00.00 PLUSare FOR SALE BY OWNER signs, we spoke with the owners and asked why. They are furious because the builder is now building homes in the 300K range and this will drive the price of their homes down. I would love to live in a gated community where there are only (150 homes) and many of my neighbors live in mini-mansions. I know my inexpensive house in this community is going to become expensive in a couple of years. BUY IN CORONA SYCAMORE CREEK AREA. PERSONALLY I HATED LIVING IN LAKE ELSINORE'S ALBERHILL RANCH, the builders are Castle & Cooke, it sucks here. It would have been nice if someone had warned me of how miserable life is in Alberhill Ranch and Lake Elsinore....

I have lived in Canyon Hills for 3 years now and it's great! The Schools are good and they are building a new Elem. School that should be open next year and that should help with the overflow. This is a great community and the watchdog.com postings state that there currently aren't any sex offenders up here. However, down the hill is a whole different story, it's bad bad bad. We never go down the hill and if we want shopping or food we go out to temecula or to the new shopping center on Haun road (not to far from CH). Tuscany hills is nice but you have to like the style of building up there and then there is the steep steep hill much like you see in San Francisco to get to the community which eats a ton of gas. Also the pricing up there is higher than it should be. They are very proud of something that is just ok. It's hard to take the chance on moving here but it's a great little area, quiet and small town feel.

Assuming it's a euphemism for the Lake Elsinore/Lakeland Village area, why do you "never go down the hill"? What are you afraid of? Mexicans?

You should screw up your courage sometime and give it a try. LE has some excellent restaurants in the old downtown core, and the open-air fruit and vegetable market in Wildomar near Lakeland Village is quite a treat, both in quality and prices.

i live in lake Elsinore. if your ready for the hot unpredictable weather and everything is quit far. but canyon hills is nice.its quite.clean. and the schools are really good. canyon lake middle starts at 730 an the elementary starts a 9. the nice thing is that theirs always wind blowing here. so its fresh at times. the hills make it harder to walk because of the heat if u do plan to get a house far from the school my suggestion is that you pick your kids up. if u do have any. also the views are beautiful. u can climb the hills an see beautiful views of lake Elsinore but the bad thing too is that their a really strict community. if u don't fallow them they fine u.

I disagree with some of the negative responses. I am from Orange County, born and raised. LAke Elsinore's crime does not compare to Anaheim, Santa Ana even parts of Fullerton, Buena park and so on. The gangs are out of control and you have to pay $400.000 min for a 1000 sq ft home that was built in the 50's. We moves to Temecula 10 yrs ago and recently moved back to the OC because of my job. Me and my husband are currently looking in Canyon Hills to purchase a new home. All areas have their issues even Temecula. LE has a bad reutation from what it was yrs ago and a lot of rumors, I know several people who live there and love it!

canyon hills and tuscany hills are nice. We love tuscany. Canyon lake is all electric. Elsinore has good schools per charts if I remember...with murdieta w a better high school. Look at redfin.com for houses for sale in tuscany... There are like 15 only. In canyon about 200...maybe short sales? It is hot in summer from like july.

Can anyone tell me about the surrounding area this home is located in? It looks nice driving around on Google Streets, and you can't beat the price! It does look a bit desolate out there, what's the new grocery store they're building? Ralphs hopefully? Anyway, thanks in advance!
