Love La Verne. But the apartment I’m looking at is just on the Pomona side which is a reasonable price. It’s right along foothill Blvd, literally 2 blocks from the La Verne border and just west of Garey ave. I know everyone has said Phillips ranch is the only nice area in Pomona but by driving by, it seems like this area might be an exception also? Just wanted any opinions on anyone who knows a little about that area of Pomona.

If it's reasonably priced, you like the area and you feel safe there, then you know the answer!

Crime is mobile. I personally would not live in any area of Pomona. It's better to pay more and live in La Verne or San Dimas. Just because your particular area of Pomona looks OK, don't assume it is.

Not true (as Cal Poly Pomona students who live in apartments and houses would tell you as well). There are plenty of parts of Pomona that are perfectly safe.

Typical uninformed opinion. There are many areas of Pomona the are safe especially in the northern areas that border Claremont and La Verne.

Does it have to be Los Angeles County? There is also Chino Hills in San Bernardino County, but its more of a commuter town since its adjacent to the borders with Los Angeles, Orange, & Riverside counties.
