I live in Southern California and My husband and I are wanting to relocate before my husband retires. He was in a trauma accident in 2001, he has not slowed down. He has the opportunity to make close to the same amount of money in another state where life could be simple, and doesn’t feel the need to work 6 seven days a week. Our daughter just had a baby and lives about an hour away, my Mom who is almost 80 lives about an hour away. She only has me to watch the baby right now when she goes back to work. I feel guilty for even thinking of moving away from my daughter and new grandson, but feel guilty for not being

You need to sit down and list your priorities. What to you is a "simpler life"? If this move takes you away from seeing your grandchild (and helping with childcare) and being closer to your elderly mother it might not be so simple emotionally. It might be cheaper living in another state but how often will you get to see your family?
