Yes, there are many boat rentals. There are hiking trails which are beautiful. Just go online and you can find many interesting things for you and your son to do there.

my grandparents live there.... You can ski on the mountain, you can rent a boat, although last time I went, the water level was severely low, but it was still fun. You can take a bike ride, or you can camp out by the water and enjoy a nice walk. In my opinion, it is a pretty good place for a peaceful retreat. I would never LIVE there, but would visit many times again..

I was born and raised there for the first 17 years of my life and throughly loved it---still feels like the womb to me! But I can certainly understand why some peole would not consider living there...it's something you have to want or if it's all you know it's wonderful!!

Wow, I can understand what you mean cynwldkat! I lived there when I was 5-10 years old in the 70's. It made such an impact on me that I have visited throughout the years, and am planning to return to live in the next few months. I want my kids to experience what I did. I literally feel so emotional when I go up the mountain, and especially in Blue Jay. All of my pictures in my house are with snow mountain type scenes. All my life I have felt like it was my home. Kind of strange, unless you have been there yourself, you can understand.
