Older women and younger men in Coachella Valley (Palm Desert, Indian Wells: living, restaurant)

Hello all! I am wondering what the dating scene is like for strait men in the Coachella Valley. Specifically, I am 28 years old; and I prefer women older than me. I've dated women as old as 50. Is this common in this area? I figure that since a lot of men in the area are either gay or very old, that a single man who is looking to go out with older women should do well.

Any thoughts? Any experience seeing this in the real world?

Speaking of California as a whole: suffice to say I had a 'grand ol' time' back in the early 1980's (I am now age 51)

If you are serious about this then I would suggest checking out a restaurant and nightclub called "The Nest", located in Palm Desert/Indian Wells. It is a longtime hangout for the country club set down in that part of the Coachella Valley. I worked with several women that frequented the place with the stated goal of trying to find a wealthy older man. They remarked that many wealthy older women also went there in hopes of finding a younger man.

While being straight won't hurt you, I wouldn't necessarily see it as a guarantee either. I had a job that allowed me to observe the social scene of the wealthy of the Valley. It was quite common to see older women (and for that matter older men) being escorted to events by younger gay men. I asked co-workers who had been in the area for many years, what the story was with this. They stated that it was due to these women wanting an attractive young companion to show off, but not really being interested in a physical relationship with one. Younger gay men fit the bill quite nicely in that respect.

In any event, if you're looking for a place to start an older/younger relationship, give "The Nest" and shot. Good luck.

Thank You very much for the responses, and yes I was being quite serious. I will try it out. I also tend to like artsy stuff like galleries and wine tastings, so I hope I can use this to get more exposure.

What are the dating attitudes of the older women like here? I've noticed that older women have different attitudes depending on the area. Older women in very rich areas seem to go for boy toys here and there, but in general shun younger men. As they see this as lower class.

The most success I've had with older women are in bohemian or very artsy and cultured areas. These women are more open minded, and care less what the other women in their town will say.
