Our rental property just became available if you are still looking for a house. It is in a great neighborhood, within walking distance to some of Temecula's best schools. If you are interested, we will send you the house information. Thomas 916.529.7962

yes, it's definitely not unusual to see military making that commute. You got a lot of Sailors and Marines from that area traveling south to the Marine and Naval bases then there's the airmen 'n' some soldiers traveling north from there to March, y'all should wave to each other on your way to work

I'd suggest staying in Fallbrook and keeping in the Bonsall school district for the best school. See Bonsall Union School District | District Boundary Map (http://bonsall.schoolwires.com/151210928182456153/site/default.asp?1512Nav=|&NodeID=103 - broken link)

Is the commute worse when going to the Naval Base (32nd St)? Wondering if any other military families are making this commute(from the Murrieta/Temecula area)? Any tips, words of advice are much appreciated!

I did the commute from Temecula to 32nd street for 7 years. If you don't like to drive I would not recommend you try to do it. It is a significant commute and is then a nightmare to get on the base and find a parking spot. Most of that time I was on sea duty and if I didn't feel like doing the drive, I could just sleep on the ship.

I would also recommend you buy a small economical car like a honda civic because it is a 130 mile round trip and that equals 650 miles per week!

I'm glad I did it because my house appreciated a lot during that time but I was very happy when I retired from the Navy and no longer had to do that commute.
