I'd like some opinions on if I should move to 1700 East Date st in San Bernardino? Sunset Ridge is what they call it. I want to know if this is a bad area and also what the people are like who live there. Thanks.

From what I recall, not a great neighborhood. There is active gang crime within a block of that address. You may do better closer to the neighborhoods of Highland or Devore.

What about the area from University & Kendall, all the way along Kendall to Waterman & 40th?

This seems to be the "northern" part as well, but how does it fair crime wise.

And why are these areas seemingly safe when they are really not too far away in distance from more problematic areas. All a criminal needs is a car or a bike and they are on your block in no time.

It is unthinkable that the county cannot seem to get a handle on this crime element and I would like to know why that is so.
