I am without a car for the next two days while it is being repaired, so I just went for a 3 mile walk to the local Stater Bros, light rain and all. The air is so clean after rain! I am looking forward to the clouds leaving, so I can see the snow up on the mountains.

The rainbow at the end of a rainfall in the IE, are the mountains covered with fresh snow.

Took this on my cell phone on my way to work:

Whenever I come to CA, I can hardly take my eyes off those mountains. Nature is incredible. Thanks for posting. Glad you got your "rainbow." :-)

LOL (except when there was lightening of course). Life to them would stop if they let the weather hold them back too much.

thanks for the pic of the mountains, chuck! I went running yesterday morning, and everywhere I looked I could see the mountains topped with snow- the sky was clear and blue (and my hands were only slightly numb! ). Just gorgeous all the way around. The vistas are most definitely one of the high points for me about this area...

It's beautiful here in the CV today because all the mountains surrounding our valley - even the low ones - are covered with snow. It's such a nice backdrop against all the green and colorful flowers we have in our area.

Yesterday when I was on my way back from Riverside on the 60 heading toward the 10 in the Banning area, there are hills on both sides of the 60. Then there is a point where it opens up and you can see the whole area Cherry Valley, Banning, Beaumont and these other areas - anyway once it opened up all you see are beautiful mountains all around you covered in snow! It was breathtaking! But I had to drive, so I couldn't rubberneck s much as I would have liked to.

Gotto love the IE, I spent my entire life living west of the 605 freeway. We made the move east in 2006, no looking back!

As for the commute, HANDLE IT!
