However, if someone chooses a neighborhood based on "probability of having a Caucasian neighbor," then I agree, SB isn't for you.
The country club area is above highland ave & its a small area. The park off highland ave & down the street from the cc is full of crime & bums.

A few areas of SB are nice ( cc area & the foothills) but thats about it.

I have heard the cemetary on waterman/highland ave has low lifes that sneek in their at night & drink & do drugs.

A former rock star from the 70s is buried their (i dont remember his name).

When i was in paris the gravesite of jim morrison was crowded with drunks & druggies (just sitting around the heastone). I did take some pics.

I grew up in San Bernardino, went to Pacific High School; my mom lived near Baseline & Arrowhead for 20 years.

It's such a shame; San Bernardino used to be a nice place a couple generations ago.

Now, well... if God decided the world needed an enema, He would choose San Bernardino for the point of application.

I have noticed that alot of the people are lazy and have no drive. FYI- collecting cans or whatever is not a JOB.

If a man will not work, he shall not eat.

I don't get this focus on having white neighbors. Back in 2004, I moved to South Fontana from Crackerville, South Orange County. I'm a white dot in a sea of brown and black, and my interaction with neighbors, customers and other fellow residents of 92337/6/5/4 has been an overall very pleasant experience.

I don't get it either. Life would be SO boring if we were all the same!

Lots of great information here.

I've been lurking the forum and I learned is that the best you can do is to stay out of San Bernardino. My husband came on an assignment in SB and there is no way for us to get out of it in the next 3 years.

We are trying to get as much information as possible about the areas surrounding SB and are looking at Redlands, Riverside, Upland to rent out a 3 bedroom house. Not sure if this will be possible as we have a limited budget of $1100 (utilities not incl). I am self-employed so my income will depend on clients (I'm a birth doula, postpartum doula, and breastfeeding counselor).

Once we get to SB, we will have 10 days to find a house and move in so time will be short. I am looking for advice on where to start looking for a place (aside of Craigslist of course). I didn't come a with a whole lot while google-searching.

TIA

Maybe she did and realized everyone that posted responses wasn't holding back on the brutal honesty and hopefully got the hell out and went elsewhere, anywhere far far away from there.....
