Need some help. My parents & grandma are coming to visit me in Temecula in Aug. I just moved here and need some help on things to do. The kicker is my grandma is coming out too - she's a young 94 year old, but still 94 years old. She can manage short day trips with some walking (walking down the old town strip would not be a problem, but probably not much more than that).
Someone mentioned that Idywild would be good, so I have Day 1 complete...need a few more suggestions.

So - I'm looking for interesting things to do in Temecula or surrounding area (30 miles or so). Also - we moved from San Diego and so they have already done everything in SD about 10 times.

Thanks so much!

You gotta make a trip out to the wineries. The view from Falkner's is gorgeous, and right across the street from their driveway (basically) is Longshadow Ranch, which is a fun one for kids (outdoor tasting bar and horses ).

Also check the City events calendar http://www.cityoftemecula.org/temecula/Templates/Visitors_2ndLevel_css_Calendar.aspx?NRMODE=Publish ed&NRNODEGUID={FB406309-31DC-4075-BB64-D090276113BC}&NRORIGINALURL=/temecula/Visitors/Calendar.htm&NRCACHEHINT=NoModifyGuest (broken link) for the specific dates they'll be here. Movies in the Park and the Sunset Concert series are always good bets. Good luck!

How about the wineries? That's like the biggest attraction in Temecula - and it's gorgeous and a lot of fun!

Oh, and the farmer's market in Old Town on Saturday mornings is really big and really good. Put that on your list too!
