Greetings everyone,

Quick question--my husband & I live very close to the Ontario Airport---near the Haven exit. Would it be cheaper for us to take a cab to the airport or park our car at an airport parking facility? We will be leaving very early tomorrow morning and returning late Sunday night. I have never used the ONT airport so I am not sure which way would be more cost effective.

Thanks!

My inlaws love the convenience of Ontario airport and its' airport parking. Economy Daily rate ranges from $7-$8.

But, in your case, since you live so close to the airport, and will be out of town for 4 days, I would think taking a cab would be the most "economical" choice. Even better if you can find someone to just drop you off.

Anyhow, based on what I could find, even with the base rate and 2-3 miles with Yellowcab it'll be roughly $16 dollars round trip + tip? While 4 days at the airport lot would be $28-$32.

Call ahead and make sure the pricing and times (hours) for the cabs/shuttles are correct and fit your schedule and weigh for yourself:

Ontario Airport is actually very convenient for those residing in the IE if airfaire wasn't quite a bit more expensive. It is a whole lot less hectic than its' breathren in LA.

Just IMHO.

Chuck--

Thanks so much for your help. Yes--anything to avoid LAX--even if it costs a bit more IMO. When we lived in OC we would do pretty much anything to be able to fly out of John Wayne and AVOID LAX also. It is worth the extra $$. Basically it looks like the offsite parking & the cab will be about even. Might as well just do the cab for the door to door convenience I suppose.

Thanks again

Rates for Lots 2 and 4 are $18/day. The rate for Lot 5 is $9/day.
