Hell yeah! Needless to say, I'm not usually driving the speed limit when I have a long trip ahead of me. The radar detector is invaluable! I'm not gonna cop to 100 though .....

My personal best Vegas commute time is just over 4 hours (I think it was 4:12) from around 15-56 interchange in San Diego to the parking garage of Stratosphere, a couple years ago. But that was departing at 9 PM. Palm Desert is a little closer and I'll guess that under 4 hours is possible. I am willing to believe that 3 hours via Kelso/29 palms is achievable since there's literally zero traffic on those roads, but that route mostly has the 55 spee limit and you'll be seriously screwed if you run across a cop with a radar.

Of course, first you have to run across a cop...

And if they have radar .... well, good ol' well-prepared Twinkie Poo has a radar detector!

(Plus eagle eyes to spot those pesky troopers without radar!)
