A private, off-leash Dog Park has opened in the French Valley area (on the corner of Auld and Pourroy Roads). JC Pooch park is operated by a registered Vet Tech and is situated on 5 acres. One side has a pond( so bring a towel). A separate area is available for dogs under 14 inches. You have to show proof that your dogs are current on all their vaccines and able to play well with others. Because it's completely fenced, with a locked gate, non members need to call ahead: 951-581-7837

Neat! I will have to check this out. There is a dog park in Temecula (in the same lot as YMCA). It's decent but no where near as large as 5 acres and no pond. It's typical small fenced area, separating the big dogs from the small dogs. The official big dog park that is under construction in Temecula is supposed to be at RedHawk community park. Murrieta has an un-official dog park at the corner of Jackson & Nutmeg.
