Hi all, My husband and I are planning to move to Temecula soon. He's busy with his new company and I'm trying to figure out if it would be a good idea to start my own cake business over there.

Right now we are living in Baltimore and I'm selling my cakes from my home based kitchen.

Does the area already has many cake designers etc.?

Here's my website - let me know what you think? www.celinescakery.com

Does Temecula need more cake?

Best, C.

I do not live in Temecula, but with that said, your cakes are beautiful and I feel there would be a market for them. It is your passion and desire to make them, I say, "GO FOR IT" Temecula I feel would be a excellent place for our business. You are extremely talented.

Temecula has wine country which is a place for many weddings etc. I am not sure how many other cake companies we have here but I would give it a shot if I were you. Good Luck

I'd suggest starting with some research on the laws in California - since you can't run a food business out of your home in California - you need a commercial kitchen - and that will of course have a big impact on the rest of your business plan.

Good luck!

Once you get to Temecula and you get the business set up out here I would be available to taste test for you.

The sugar or flour might be a little different from what you are used to and might throw the taste off, I would be willing to take one for the team and make sure they taste as delicious as you look. I'm sure you could let your husband try them but you probably would want someone whose tastebuds are acclimated to the area.

Ok I guess that about covers it, looking forward to being your quality control.
