This question has come up before. I'm still a fan of Bety's Tacos in Encinitas. If you haven't been, try the Camarones a la Diabla, the Chicken Mole, and the Epazote and Cheese thingamajig. Not in one sitting!

I'm sure the crazy-rad Spanish cafe racers probably don't taste as good!

I have to try the ones you've mentioned. I'm a creature of habit when it comes to Mexican food. My car drives itself to Bety's.

Los Cuatro Milpas- Barrio Logan
El Borrego- City Heights
Super Cocina- City Heights
Tacos German food truck- O.B.
El Zarape- University Heights (Park Blvd location)
I've driven by El Borrego many times, I'm guessing I should stop next time. Is Tacos German, the same as Mariscos German? Might I add Tacos El Gordo? I love me some Super Cocina!

Chipolte is another McDonald's of the burrito - reminds me of my college cafeteria rice-n-beans.

German's truck fish taco is nothing special upon further review. Same for El Zarape.

Not a fan of Chipotle, either. I hate rice in my burrito.

Another one in Encinitas I forgot to mention is Jorges, on El Camino Real at Mountain Vista. Also on Santa Fe Drive across from Scripps Hospital. They have the best Mexico City style chicken soup there.
We have a lot of good greasy Mexican food places in San Diego and North County!
