For me, the pros of SD heavily outweigh cons..

Cons I hear..

1) Still feels like a "small town," less things to do.. Not a prob for me as I'm happy outdoors..

2) Closes at 1:30AM - Huge culture shift coming from NYC where the party goes on into next morning/afternoon.. Not a prob for me, my party days are becoming less and work/relax is priority.

3) Cost of living - doesn't seem as bad as NY/North NJ (especially RE taxes) so not much of a factor for me..

..anything else I'm missing? Traffic doesn't seem too bad comparatively speaking.

But seriously, there's not much to dislike about San Diego, provided you earn enough money to live well. If you don't, the cost of real estate and other expenses can suck the life right out of you, or so I'm told.

I feel the same way as well. I understand that it's hard for people who come from fast paced, dense, transit centric cities, but there really isn't anything I don't like. Traffic can be bad but there are ways to avoid it. I just feel like this thread is going to turn into troll central.

There are a lot more pro's than cons, but some of the cons I feel are infrastructure related:

- Waiting for all those left hand turn signals when there are no cars in sight
- Lack of street lighting ... makes it hard to go for a nice walk in the evenings.
- Not being able to drink out of the tap (I hate paying for water!)

Kind of minor issues and we're probably scapping the bottom of the barrel to find cons. Just proves that there aren't that many bad things about this city.

-Cost of living/wages
-job opportunities
-bad roads

Other than those things most of the other cons are found in most metropolitan areas

It seems like drinking would use a ton less water than other things (shower, dishwasher, washing machine...).

I found the roads to be much better quality than they are here in AL. Here, there are potholes everywhere, cracks and unsafe bridges. It rains several days a week, and that is blamed on ruining the streets.

Unless ofcourse you were referring to the traffic.
