hi. i am looking for neighborhood info. i'll need to get to city college and would prefer to use public transportation. i have a 6 year old and a 2 year old. school info? we're hoping to spend around $1500 a month (including utilities) to rent a two bedroom apt. any info shared will be appreciated.

I would focus on La Mesa and plan on taking the trolley to City College. It is a long ride but there are really not going to be much to look at with acceptable schools or housing in your price range close to City College.
