Could someone tell me about this specific location? Also, it seemd I keep getting conflicting information regarding Cardiff. I have heard one person say that it is its own distinct city, while another has said that its just part of southern Enciniatas. Also, is the composer district in Cardiff close to any classical musical venues? Would type of person is Cardiff by the Sea most suited for? Older people? Young families? Artist community? Also, I noticed in Carlsbad that some of the beaches tended to be a little rocky. Is Cardiff like this as well, or does it have some great sandy beaches?

Would Cardiff fit for this individuals needs

1 A VERY SAFE, QUIET and family friendly enviornment

2. Has art galleries, classical concerts, opera? Things that are considered "high brow" entertainment.

3. Pet friendly

4. Good surfing/sandy beaches

5. An "old school" beach town mentality

6. SLOW PACED

Thanks for your help.

1 A VERY SAFE, QUIET and family friendly enviornment - it is a beach community, can sometimes be congested esp in summer, some homeless folks around but I would consider it safe

2. Has art galleries, classical concerts, opera? Things that are considered "high brow" entertainment. - art galleries in Leucadia area, otherwise it is not high brow. Opera is downtown SD.

3. Pet friendly yes

4. Good surfing/sandy beaches - good surf, pretty rocky beach area, not like Florida if that is what you are picturing

5. An "old school" beach town mentality - definitely

6. SLOW PACED - pretty much so

Dr Vox... based on your criteria, La Jolla seems like a better fit for you.
