Hello,

I am RN with unrestricted license experience in med/surg/tele and stepdown. I urgently need a job in the greater San Diego. I don't find Craigslist to be that useful.
I haven't worked for quite a while as my sibling died and I've had a hard time dealing with that. So my resume doesn't have anything really recent and my references are old. Can anyone help me out? I need a break! I know everyone is having a hard time financially, but I have a professional license and am qualified to do work, but I need help. Thank you.

Z

Check the hospital websites, and see if they're even doing any hiring.

There are companies that contract out health care professionals to medical facilities. I'm sure if you did some digging on the" Net" you could find them. Also as Moved indicated check the Websites of the various, health facilities such as Kaiser. I think USAJOBS.GOV might list jobs for the Navy and VA Hospitals. You should also join professional networking groups like LinkedIn.
Good luck to you its scary getting back into the workforce after a long absence, and add moving to a new locale, it could take a mental and physical toll.

You might be able to find something if you are willing to work in a nursing home or in corrections. It might be worth a try until you are more comfortable financially. Then, you could network and maybe get a job more suited to your specialty.

Also try cities in Orange, Riverside and LA counties at Indeed.Com. I know you prefer San Diego, but you may have to consider another county.

Good Luck!

Go to hospitals and fill out applications. Why ask here? Common sense...when you need a job, tuen in resumes and fill out applications.

I see you are from Rosarito, BC, Mexico. I'm not sure if that Mexican license will work here.

Thanks all for your suggestions. I'm a seasoned professional and have tried pretty much all that you have suggested, but I will continue trying. I am open to other cities too, but not too far as I have family here in Mexico.

Dougstech, I was born and raised in the US. I live in Mexico but I work in the US.
