Yes, it was. Of all the places in the San Diego area, I wouldn't have guessed at the time it would be in Sabre Springs.

Sabre Springs is in San Diego. It has two sections, south of Poway Rd and north of Poway Rd along Sabre Springs Pkway, which is where there is a business park as well. On both sides there is a mix of single family homes, all over 500,000 and well beyond, and condos. And yes, it's also where VanDam was unfortunately and sadly murdered.
