What area do you think is a nicer area to live and purchase a single family home? I'm an early 30's guy looking to be close to the beach, but also be in a quiet area and central San Diego.

Thanks in advance.

Crown Point would be a nice area to live. Here's a nice townhome in Crown Point:

I'd pick North PB, closer to La Jolla, quieter, and seems a little more upscale than areas around Mission Bay.

Agree re: North PB. Crown Point has a lot of shacks mixed in with the nicer townhomes. Due to the small lot sizes, I think.

North PB up to Bird Rock is my favorite area too. But home prices (especially single-family homes) can be a lot higher. Crown Point is a pretty good deal for the money.

I live in Bay Ho just north of Balboa Ave. My wife and I bike/walk Mission Bay almost every weekend.

Bay Park is a nice convenient location. With the right property, you can get a great view of Mission Bay and beautiful sunsets. Some good property deals these days too.
