Hello everyone,

I accepted an offer in Kearny Mesa recently and am looking for apartments close to work. I am moving from the Chicago suburbs and looking forward to the change. I am looking for a 2 bd/1ba+ apartment that is in a decent apartment complex/neighborhood. My budget is up to $1300. I am open to 1 bedrooms as well. I don't care about fancy stuff as long as the place is clean and quiet and if there is a washer/dryer in the apartment, it would be a plus.

If anyone has experience with any moving companies, I would appreciate referrals.

Thank you.

I lived for a while in apartments at Clairmont Mesa Blvd. and Repecho Drive in Tierrasanta. It was 15 years ago, but those apartments were nice and in a nice area then. And convenient to Kearney Mesa.

It looks like they're still apartments (haven't gone condo) and the complex name seems to be Tierrasanta Ridge. Maybe someone here has a more up-to-date review of them.

If your stuff isn't particularly special to you, consider selling what you have there and buying new stuff here. It might be cheaper than hiring a mover, depending on your circumstances.

We used North American to move out here. They did a good job at a decent price.

If you're looking for a Bears bar, this is your place --> 710 Beach Club - Live Music Beach Bar in San Diego

That's what we did. We got a ridiculous quote and just got rid of our stuff before moving and bought new furniture when we got here.

Looks like that place is 2 miles from work but a little pricey. Thanks.

Then you might find something in Clairemont. But beware of the apartment complexes directly on Clairmont Mesa Boulevard or Balboa Avenue, which will have serious traffic noise facing the street, and questionable goings on in the alleys behind.

Maybe sharing a house in Clairemont which isn't on either of the major streets?
