You know those people who hang out on street corners and dance and hold the business signs!!! Are there any in SD? I can't stand those type jobs...they are so annoying and it's degrading to the city.

I see them in my city of Stockton, CA but want to know if they are also in SD and if so...in abundance

haha yeah we got 'em. Not as many as a few years ago. They are easy jobs for slackers, young kids, and transients, and pay pretty well ($12/ hr.) Annoying, yup.

Of all the annoyances of city life, this one is low on my list. We got 'em, not so many since the condo craze died down.

I saw a story on a news channel a while back about a sign-spinner competition. Some of those people did amazing things with spinning signs.....man, what is this world coming to

I've seen them also in San Diego, but I don't understand the problem with them. It's a job, they're working. It's not like they're panhandling. The signs aren't stuck in the ground and left for months on end. They're not bothering anyone as far as I know. What's the big deal?

$12/hr? Maybe I'll sign up for this job to bring some extra cash in. I'll wear a mask though so no one knows who I am.

The sign spinners don't bother me, It's amusing watching them.
On the other hand, the newspaper hawkers in the middle of the busiest intersections like Midway/Rosecrans really bother me. They have been banned up in San Marcos and other places because several accidents were caused by them.

Good job, your complaining about a job that is ether helping a STUDENT,HOUSEWIFE,And or a young or older FAMILY man FEED HIS KIDS
I happen to do this and I feel it is a skill and not degrading

may I ask your profession.
