I hear there is a very large and amazing Whole Foods somewhere in Orange County - much like their flagship store in Austin. Is this true and can anyone tell me which one it is? I went to their website but couldn't figure out which one it is.

Why don't you ask the Orange County forum?

All I can say is, the Austin one was so hyped up that we were beyond disappointed when we went. It sucked and wasn't *that* great. Overcrowded and didn't really offer anything more than the other stores.

Now Union Square in NYC....that's a Whole Foods!

But yea, you might want to ask people that live in OC, not San Diego.

You're in luck because I happen to be a very new SD transplant from OC. There's a new one that opened last fall in Huntington Beach right next to the 405 freeway, off the Beach Blvd exit (head south *towards the beach* on Beach Blvd before Edinger). For some reason it reminds me of the one in La Jolla. However, because it's so close to the freeway and it's part of a popular/nice strip mall in HB, it can get pretty crowded (parking might suck just like in LJ) even on weekdays.

P.S. I could be wrong, because I don't think it's that much bigger or any different than most other Whole Foods, but this one in Huntington Beach feels um, *newer*.
