Actually, the Aztecs have their own TV deal (the Mtn.). So plan on lots of beach volleyball, jet ski racing, and other exciting sports when the Padres aren't on. Oh, and I love how a team that won 90 games last year and lost out on the division to the eventual World Champs is now "a losing baseball team." Don't let pesky reality get in the way of making a point!

Whatever, after another lethargic week of hitting the baseball and close calls.

With a better TV deal wouldn't this give San Diego money to spend on players??

I would be willing to bet money they remain in last place for over 90% of the season, and fail to make the playoffs.

I would be willing to bet you were saying the same thing last year. Am I right?

What's their post season record, 12-22? It would be a smaller number but they played in such a crappy division they often went even with a poor record.

The Padres are the only reason I stick with Cox. If and when a new FoxSports station created, I'm also making the switch.

I'll be at the game tonight and don't expect to see much hitting by home team. I'm going as a guest of someone my company does business with, so at least I'll have free food and beer all night!

I don't get it? The Padres game is listed each night on Fox Sports West, but is blacked out when I go to it? Why is it even listed if they won't let you watch it. And what the hell is channel 4?

Channel 4 on the Cox network requires Cox cable. They have exclusive broadcast rights in San Diego for the Padres, which is why you are not getting the games broadcast on FSW.

Its kinda like having Charger games blacked out IN San Diego when not enough seats are sold for a home game. Total fail for the viewers that live in SD.
I think the only other way around it is to have an mlb.com subscription and watch it from a media center or personal computer.
