I was just wondering if people will consider San Diego to be a 4th tier city once the Chargers move. That would put us on par with cities like Omaha, Oklahoma City, etc... I'm not saying that major sports teams are the only indicator of what tier a city falls in, but if the Chargers move, it certainly seems like a step in the opposite direction.

Yeah, I think SD is already California's most overrated city. Losing the Chargers would be a huge blow....especially if they went to L.A.

I'd would say that the majority of people do not give a rats a** about The Chargers or any other overpaid sports team.....I know I don't.

So the only thing that makes San Diego a nicer place to be than Omaha or Oklahoma City is the fact that we have an NFL team? Riiiight.

We need the Chargers to stay relevant in the sports world. Unless we build an new arena and get a NBA or NHL team

No.. the only real thing we have is the weather, but the weather alone can't make a city great. The infrastructure, sports teams, transportation, history, arts, etc... is what makes a city great. Even the weather is subjective, so besides the weather, what does San Diego have that makes it a greater city than lower tiered cities?

But I do think if the Chargers do in fact leave, we will be on the same level as places like Omaha and St. Louis. Regardless if you are a fan of the Chargers or even football, it will be a major blow to the city.

San Diego is already a third/fourth tier city, depending on how you look at it.

Los Angeles has no NFL team now, so are they currently a 4th tier city?
