It's been unusually cold and wet this year, just like last year. Waiting for summer to get here.

Like bloom said, it doesn't get warm here until July and it runs through October. Last year was on the cool side during the summer.

The weather we're having now is awesome, it gives the weatherperson something to do.

Thanks for the input.

As has already been mentioned, last summer was the coldest in over 80 years. Let's hope we don't get a repeat this year. A good is sign is that May gray wasn't bad, and the ocean water temps are a bit above average for this time of year. Here it is June 1, and I woke up to blue skies this morning.

And speaking of weather.........The Weather Channel listed the Top 5 cities that are "Overdue for a Hurricane" today and San Diego is ranked #2! Lucky us.

I saw that earlier today and was extremely surprised to see SD on there, all the other cities made sense to me. Was pretty surprised to see that Honolulu has never had a direct hit to that island, just Kauai. I still don't think Sd belonged on that list though although I think a Cat 1 would be kind of cool to experience.

Yeah, interesting stuff. Remnants of hurricanes aren't that unusual around here, but a direct hit? hmmmmm...

Remember when Hurricane Linda was forecasted to make landfall around Carlsbad in 1997? It's still the strongest Pacific hurricane ever recorded.

I've lived in San Diego my entire life. I can't remember the last 4th of July where it was actually hot at the beach. Recent years have been chilly.

SD weather is so unpredictable. Sweatshirts on 4th of July and sundresses to visit Santa some years! LOL

We are really spoiled to be able to complain about it. You should see how much people in the Bay Area complain about the weather, and although it's not as close to perfect as San Diego, it's also still among the best weather in the country. We're all a bunch of whiners!
