We will be relocating to the San Marcos area very soon and I am interested in some information about living in the Buenavida neighborhood in San Marcos. Any information will help. Thanks.

I have 2 fairly comprehensive posts about Discovery Hills (larger neighborhood where Buenavida is located) in another thread:

//www.city-data.com/forum/san-d...m-schools.html

Discovery Hills is a nice neighborhood with good schools and more affordable home prices. The best thing about the area is the amount of parks and trails (general open space). In the future, Buenavida will be an awesome location for walkability since the new University District will be one block away and the Creek District is nearby as well. For the time being, however, the neighborhood may be impacted by grading being done at the University District site. The City of San Marcos is also opening a brand new park just south of the neighborhood, which features a lake and other amenities...
