I recently graduated in May with my Associates in Paralegal. I currently work in Family Law in the Central Valley. I am wanting to move to San Diego.

Can anyone tell me how the job market is there for the legal field? I would like to stick with Family Law since I already have experience in that field.

Check out Craiglist. That should give you an idea of what it pays. I have two friends that are paralegals. Both of them were laid off of their jobs recently, and they said that it's not worth it to work for what's being paid now, with low pay and no benefits.

That is what I am afraid of. The lay-off rate is high here especially because it is work that attorney's can do themselves. What are good areas of work to attempt to gain in the SD area?

Anything you can find. I was laid off in January of 2009, and haven't found a full time job yet. Good luck
