1. You used to be able to drink on the board walk
2. Rubios used to have monster cheap burritos and you had to go to pb to get them.
3. You could go to the ER and NOT wait 10 hours because it was packed with Illegal Aliens.

You know you're in San Diego when:

You go to a Padres game, and the game is tied 1-1 in the bottom of the 8th, and all the fans get up and go home anyway.

Cool You know your from Pacific Beach or San Diego when...

You know your from PACIFIC BEACH or SAN DIEGO when....

On every holiday the WHOLE beach community is wasted and ice lodges, beer bongs …naked people are a common occurrence.

Biking around on a pimped out cruiser is considered a cool thing to do.

You know who Slo Mo is and think he is an awesome dude!

Bay Watch Babes on the beach is the real deal

Horse Shoes isn't just a game… it's a sport

Wearing whatever you can find on the floor closest to you is fine for any occasion

You can find 4 guys that aren't gay sharing a one room apartment that costs 2 grand just so they can live on the beach to surf

A bathing suit is considered a typical outfit to be worn at bars, restaurants or any place one pleases.

Beer is the beverage of choice for any picnic at the beach

Poop bags are found by any patch of green grass

Bob Marley isn't just a man but a religion

You understand what May-Gray and June-Gloom is. ( you mean other places

Your fake ID is taken away at the bar and then 9 months later after your 21st birthday your real one is
then confiscated.

Tan isn't just an every once in a while thing but your actual year round color.

The weather is overcast for two hours and every local is complaining as if it was a monsoon that lasted 2 months

You turn the AC on in your car during Winter

You know the Mossy Nissan song by heart

You know what it means when two guys are walking in Hillcrest.

Your house doesn't have air conditioning.

There are more taco-shops than there are Starbucks.

The name of your favorite Mexican restaurant ends with "berto's"

Your house is worth more than the GDP of some small countries.

You know what MB, IB, OB, and PB stand for.

You've yet to experience fall or winter.

Every street name is either in Spanish or Spanish related, and you're
surprised when other areas don't have this.

There's a North County, a South County, and an East County but no Central
County or West County?

You or someone you know doesn't own pants, and have a neighbor who doesn't
seem to own a shirt.

You know what Santa Ana's are, and that they have literally nothing to do
with the city of Santa Ana.

The year is filled with more raging wildfires more often than cloudy days.
Sex on the beach isn't just a T.V show

With most of the streets being spanish name, it is hard when you have to give your address over the phone to someone not from SD. I always have to spell it out and then they still massacre it.

If you live by the coast, 78 is so hot and 64 is too cold.

You bought a portable AC unit, but only use it 4 times a year.

To the observant tourist who said that we say "marine layer" instead of "smog"- we don't call it smog because it's not smog! It's a "marine layer" as in fog, particles of water ('marine) in the air from the ocean which is full of said water and is right next to, in case you hadn't heard, San Diego. That's why there's no "marine layer" in Escondido. No ocean! Smog is for L.A. .

Default Here's a few more:

* Every time you hear Maggie May by Rod Stewart, you still expect it to go: "..or steal my daddy's cue, cue, cue and make a living out of playing pool". (KCBQ from the olden days)
* You remember exactly where you were when the plane crashed in North Park (1978).
* You called sailors, "swabs" (and farmer's tans were "swab tans")
* You remember when there were thousands of acres of open chapparal (that generally caught fire every fall)
* You remember when it only cost $2.00 to go to the SD Zoo
* You still call the SD Museum of Art the Fine Arts Museum
* You still call Laurel Street bridge Suicide Bridge
* You remember the Johnny Downs Show
* You (kind of) remember rock concerts at Balboa Stadium
* You remember the Old Globe fire

I disagree. Actually, you know what IB, OB and PB stand for and that you never call Mission Beach MB.
