My husband and I are seniors on a fixed income. We want to move closer to our kids in Poway. Can anyone tell us which communities around Poway have affordable houses around 350K. It needs to be a good, safe area.
Thanks

I've come across some places in east Vista that were in the low 300's & priced to sell. East Vista is pretty nice/safe/wooded/middle class/cozy/close to everything.

Ramona is another area you may wish to try. Lots of horse owners, very safe & quiet town.

You would need to drive 20-min... not sure if you would rule it out due to the drive? My sister & her husband commute from Ramona to Poway & further daily & don't complain about it.

They also have a beautiful 3b/2b home well below the range you've listed. A quick check on realtor.com shows many homes which may be suitable for you... we're looking in the same area, as well.

Something to note, they've lived in Ramona for 20-yrs & have been evacuated 3-times in 5-yrs due to wildfires. Their house was safe each time, but they were lucky. Something to keep in mind. Best of luck!

There are some smaller places in East Rancho Bernardo that might fit the bill depending on your space requirements. Close to Poway, yet far enough that you are not "breathing down each others necks".
