SD native here too and I agree. I like rain once in a while to clean things out but if it goes on longer than two days, I start feeling sad and wanting my sun back.

having grown up in DC (where the only pleasant season IMO is the 2 week spring), and then dodged hurricanes for 13 years in FL...not to mention the humidity, and the heat, my god the heat!....then 8 years of lake effect snow in Cleveland. The one month fall which is gorgeous, but the grey, rainy spring, humid summer are as bad as the 5 month winter. So to make a short story, long- NO I do not find San Diego weather boring AT ALL!
And I am antsy too with too much rain. It means I can't ride my scooter, and being in cage (car) does not make me happy.

Absolutely not. I love the weather here and I know no matter how long I live here I won't get tired of the gorgeous weather.

I've lived in hot places and don't miss the brutal heat! (Dallas had something like over 40 days in a row of 100+ weather last summer). I don't miss brutally cold places like Chicago. I don't miss tornados. I wouldn't miss possibility for hurricanes.

When I want a change in seasons I'll go on a trip but I absolutely love the weather here. There is enough rain for me on the days it rains and I'll never move back to cold weather again.

I actually like Atlanta's weather. IMO, I think it's the best climate in the world. You get a taste of winter for a few days at a time, and then it warms back up to 60 and sometimes 70 degree weather (much like SD's temps). I also love the springs and falls there, and I don't mind the hot, humid summers (especially on days with thunderstorms). I also like Tokyo's climate, although the winters are longer with less chances of unseasonably warm days. I also don't care for the rainy season in early summer. San Diego is comfortable temperature wise, but I did get bored with it being sunny and dry all the time. I used to look forward to rainy days in the winter when I lived there.

I grew up in Massachusetts and now live in Maryland where in 2010, we had the WORST winter - something the locals called a "once in a decade" winter. My gutters on the house completely filled with ice, the roof had to be shoveled off with 5 feet of snow on it creating excess weight and....horrible. I will not miss snow, cold, sleet!! I dream of 70 degreeallthetime weather and doubt very much that I will "miss" the seasons. You San Diegan's are livin in paradise!

the only place i'd rather live than san diego are the virgin islands. then i'd have to worry about hurricanes, but that is true paradise to me but san diego is a close 2nd.

the job market is atrocious in the USVI making it not very feasible to live down there.

so basically, I don't think I would miss the seasons. at least not for a decade

Never. I go to IT if I want that stuff. IMHO call it boring or whatever, but I would say most people I know or even posters here, LOVE waking up to sunshine and then the occasional rainy day, knowing that it will be sunny again.

I used to hear that same line in Florida when I lived in Orlando.

Understand we dont get those types of east coast or mid west conditions, so unless you grew up with it, you dont miss it. Although I heard a rumble of thunder the other day, but faint. Last time I recollect hearing it before then was years ago.

It also makes you very happy to not live in a place where only about a third of the days are like that.
I get seriously bummed, almost depressed when we have days in a row of rain here. Love that sun!!

If I want to freeze my gnards off I'll drive up to the mts.
