This is "cut and paste" from a previous post that I had. Any information as to this area would be greatly appreciated. To explain briefly, I'm a Nondestructive Process Engineer, who has been contracted at Senior Aerospace in El Cajon. I'm moving (Thank God!) from Oklahoma City to El Cajon and/or the greater San Diego area.

I have been in contact with Tierra del Sol Apartment Homes. The manager has advised me is approximately 3/4 of a mile from my prospective home to my workplace. The manager sounds very convincing and I "believe" that we have already established a very good rapport.

I had two questions that I seek information from forum members:

1. What are the general living conditions in and around 989 Peach Avenue? I have resided in semi-rough neighborhoods. I simply don't want my family or myself to land in the established boundary line of street gangs, etc, etc. In Los Angeles this is a concern for residents.

2. Are members aware of the reputation of Tierra del Sol Apartment Homes?

I want to sincerely and personally thank all of the contributors/authors (esp SDurbanite. Fantastic photography!) of the "Images of San Diego" thread. I sent the link to my wife in China and she fell in love immediately

I previously lived in Santa Monica, (residence in Western Ave, Korea-town), CA for almost 5 years plus. I tried three requests for transfers to the San Diego area. I was denied 3 times. My dreams of coming home to Calif in San Diego from Oklahoma, have finally come true. It has only taken 12 years plus.

My thanks in advance to all members.

If you want your experience to look anything like what's in those pictures... move somewhere else other than El Cajon.

Personally - I would not live in an apartment in El Cajon for any reason.

If I was here on business or was a new relocator - I would rent a recently-built condo or apartment in Mission Valley or Downtown SD - you could practically pick one at random.

Thanks for the info Sassberto. I'll try looking in those areas you suggested.
